transmediale_extended vol. 2+3 In the autumn 2003 transmediale showed a programme at two festivals in Colombia based on the programme of the first version of transmediale_extended. transmediale_extended_vol.2 was presented at Artronica - an international electronic arts show in Bogota, Colombia, October 28 to November 5. The Goethe Institute Bogota, the French Embassy and the Central Bank's Luis Angel Arango Library presented Artronica for the first time - showing experimental, electronic artworks. More than 150 projects from the fields of video art, net art, interaction and electronic music were presented at the Artronica festival, chosen from the programmes of several renowned festivals from Germany, Austria and France such as transmediale, Ars Electronica (Linz), the international festival of the ZKM Karlsruhe, the European Media Art Festival (EMAF) in Osnabrueck, the Pierre Schaeffer Centre International de Création Vidéo (CICV) in Hérimoncourt, the Instants Vidéo Festival in Manosque and the Heure Exquise! organisation. The programme was completed by a circle of lectures by theoreticians and artists which have been conceived in co-operation with several Colombian universities. I contributed a lecture on ' Current Artistic Strategies in Media Art' in November 2003. transmediale_extended_vol.3 was invited to the III.
